Open Sky Mindfulness

A little about me

There's a particular kind of tired that rest doesn't fix.

It's the exhaustion that lingers after a demanding career, a difficult season of life, or simply years of putting everyone and everything else first. I know it well — because I've lived it. My own path through stress and burnout taught me something I now spend my days helping others discover: that reconnecting with yourself isn't a luxury, it's the foundation everything else is built on.

I'm Annie, a mindfulness coach and meditation guide based in Dorset. After more than 30 years leading sales and marketing teams, I retrained in mindfulness — and I now work with warmth, without judgement, and with deep respect for the fact that everyone arrives carrying something different.

A different route in

Sound meditation & sound baths

Some people find stillness easier to reach through sound than through sitting alone with their thoughts. In a sound meditation, gentle tones and resonance invite the body to soften and the mind to quieten — a deeply restorative experience that asks nothing of you but to receive it.

Offered one-to-one, in small groups, and as part of retreat days and workplace sessions.

Good to know

Questions people often ask

I've never tried mindfulness — is it for me?

Absolutely. Most people arrive with no experience at all. There's nothing to get right and no special ability required — just a willingness to give yourself a little time and space. I'll guide you gently through everything.

Do you offer sessions online as well as in person?

Yes. I'm based in Dorset and offer sessions in person locally, as well as online, so you can take part from wherever feels comfortable for you.

What is a sound bath, and what happens?

You simply rest, usually lying down and covered with a blanket, while I play a range of instruments. The sound and vibration help the body relax deeply. There's nothing you need to do — only receive.

Is this therapy or counselling?

No. Mindfulness and sound meditation support general wellbeing and are not a substitute for medical, psychological or psychiatric care. If something falls outside my role, I'll gently signpost you to the right qualified professional.

How do I get started?
