Transparency matters. Here's how your information is looked after, and how I work to keep our sessions safe and appropriate.

Health & wellbeing

Health & wellbeing disclaimer

Mindfulness, meditation and sound experiences offered by Open Sky Mindfulness are intended to support general wellbeing and relaxation. They are complementary practices and are not a substitute for medical, psychological or psychiatric diagnosis, advice or treatment.

Sessions are not therapy or counselling and do not treat medical or mental health conditions. If you have a health condition, are under the care of a professional, or have any concerns, please consult your GP or relevant practitioner before taking part, and let me know of anything relevant so I can support you safely.

By taking part, you accept responsibility for your own wellbeing during sessions and agree to participate within your own comfort and ability.

Keeping you safe

Safeguarding & referral

Your safety and wellbeing come first. I am committed to providing a safe, respectful and non-judgemental space for everyone I work with, and I hold a current Mental Health First Aid qualification.

Mindfulness and sound meditation are not a substitute for professional mental health care. Where something falls outside my role or training, I will gently and appropriately signpost or refer you to a suitably qualified professional — for example your GP, a counsellor or therapist, or a specialist service.

Where I run collaborative programmes alongside other practitioners, each professional is responsible for their own area of expertise, so you always receive the right support from the right person.

If I have serious concerns about the safety of you or someone else, I may need to share information with an appropriate person or service. Wherever possible I will discuss this with you first.

If you are in crisis or need urgent help, please contact your GP, call NHS 111, or the Samaritans free on 116 123 (24 hours). In an emergency, call 999.
